Housing
Rialto has struggled to comply with the state-mandated housing element over the past decade, limiting housing opportunities for our residents. This is our chance to establish a long-term housing strategy that ensures availability for all income levels. With many families now living in multigenerational homes due to the high cost of living, it is imperative that we address affordable housing solutions. I will advocate for policies that promote good wages and affordable housing, including rent control measures, ensuring that everyone can afford to live in our city.
Infrastructure Improvements
Rialto is in urgent need of a comprehensive infrastructure upgrade plan. From city hall to our roads, water systems, sewer facilities, and renewable energy initiatives, it’s time we invest in our future. By developing a strategic plan and forming vital partnerships, we can attract good-paying jobs that will benefit our community for years to come. My commitment is to actively pursue grants and collaborate with state and federal leaders to secure essential funding for these projects. Together, we can modernize our infrastructure and create a sustainable Rialto.
Healthy and Safety
The health and safety of our residents are paramount. As crime rates rise due to poverty and lack of opportunities, we must tackle these issues head-on by working together with our county, state, and federal leaders. I will work to create programs that provide job training and educational opportunities to help uplift our community. Additionally, addressing health concerns related to air and water quality is critical. I will advocate for stronger environmental regulations, such as good neighbor policies and community health initiatives to ensure that every resident has access to clean air, safe drinking water, and overall well-being.
Small Business Advocacy and Support
Small businesses are the heart of our community. I will champion local entrepreneurs by advocating for policies that support their growth and sustainability. This includes simplifying the permitting process, providing access to funding opportunities, and creating a business-friendly environment that attracts new enterprises. By investing in our small businesses, we’ll bolster our local economy and foster job creation.
